are the EST2 and EST3 fire protection systems.
EST3
EST3 is GE Security's top of the line fire protection solution
that is ideally suited for high-rise office towers and
commercial/institutional campus installations, and features a
three-second response time no matter how large the installation.
Featuring the most advanced technology, EST3 enables
user-intuitive single point of control and systems monitoring in
during any routine maintenance operation or crisis. In addition
to the features of EST2's advanced capabilities described above,
EST3 supports eight multiplex audio channels for
state-of-the-art communications capability. Its network of
remote annunciators enable internal and outside emergency
response professionals the ability to keep in constant
communication for optimal emergency management. EST3's unique
modular design provides for easy component access for servicing
and maintenance, and provides for system update with relative
ease as building and tenant configurations change.

EST2
EST2 is a mid-range panel solution with expandability that
satisfies the fire protection and code requirements of 95% of
the buildings in the United States today. Its capacity and price
make it ideal for commercial installations, hospitals and
schools. EST2 offers superior analog technology including
automatic device mapping and programming, detailed reports, as
well as electronic addressing. EST2's communications protocol
accommodates existing hard-wired device circuits, and therefore
this system is ideally positioned for a wide range of retrofit
applications. EST2 supports 192 intelligent detectors, or 600
conventional detectors and 188 intelligent input/output modules,
as well as a generous mix of detector bases. Networked, EST2 can
support 960 intelligent detectors, and 3,000 conventional
devices, and drive as many as 30 remote annunciators per node,
each with a capacity of 96 input/output functions. The system
also features seamless integration of emergency paging,
evacuation signaling and firefighter telephones, supporting
either distributed or banked amplifiers.

constantly creating new solutions to handle to days special
hazards.
Clean Agent Fire Suppression Systems
Utilizing 3MTM NovecTM
1230
Fire Protection Fluid
Novec 1230 fluidis an environmentally
acceptable, people compatible, clean agent for vital facilities
with a wide range of applications. Novec 1230 fluid suppresses
the fire by removing heat energy and interrupting the combustion
process.
FM-200®
Developed as a Halon replacement, FM-200 has
been selected by Chemetron as the best clean agent fire
protection for vital facilities. We have designed systems for
compatibility and maximum effectiveness with FM-200 and
developed an innovative FM-200 flow calculation software program
to aid in individual system design for each unique application.
Argonite®
Argonite is an inert gas that extinguishes fire based on the
principle of oxygen depletion. Argonite is an environmentally
acceptable clean agent that offers Zero Ozone Depletion
Potential (ODP) and Zero Global Warming Potential (GWP).

SMOKE DETECTION
Detection Logic offers the VESDA line of air
aspirating smoke detection devices. Through a process of
filtration and laser detection, VESDA detectors measures smoke
level particles in the air and communicates the information to a
fire alarm control panel or building management software. VESDA
detectors are suitable for a wide range of applications and
provide the earliest possible detection without false positives.
VESDA LaserCOMPACT
The VESDA LaserCOMPACT offers a simple, cost effective solution
for the protection of single and smaller environments such as,
small archives, production machinery, ceiling voids, prison
cells, wet benches, data storage cabinets and critical process
tools. The LaserCOMPACT display supports three configurable
alarm levels (Alert, Pre-Alarm, Fire).
VESDA LaserFOCUS
The VESDA LaserFOCUS is an air sampling smoke
detector, ideal for protecting the service provision associated
with small telecommunications facilities such as local exchanges
and mobile base stations. The LaserFOCUS incorporates
first-in-industry Ultrasonic Airflow Sensing to provide flow
measurement that is immune to temperature and pressure changes.
Its out-of-the-box design makes installation and commissioning
quick and easy and the pre-engineered pipe network designs
supplied with the product make system design simple.
VESDA LaserPLUS
The core product in the VESDA product range,
the LaserPLUS detector it detects fire at the earliest possible
stage and reliably measures very low to extremely high
concentrations of smoke. The detector can form part of a modular
system with the display, programmer and VESDAnet modules
installed in a remote location or as a "self-contained" system
by replacing the detector's panels with display and/or
programmer modules. The display supports four (4) configurable
alarm levels (Alert, Action, Fire 1 and Fire 2) and a 20-segment
bar-graph indicating real time smoke level and fault conditions.
VESDA LaserSCANNER
The LaserSCANNER locates the origin of smoke
by identifying the first sector (pipe) with the highest level of
smoke and then continues to sample from all sectors to monitor
fire growth. The VESDA LaserSCANNER is ideal for protecting
several rooms or separate areas within a building, such as those
within hospitals and dormitories, hotels, laboratories, computer
rooms or offices.
