Compass Technologies
Compass Technologies' Intelligent Reader
Module (IRM) provides rapid and reliable Access Control and
Alarm Monitoring at an optimal price. Data is downloaded to
each IRM for fully distributed processing and is maintained
in memory so all decisions are made locally. Innovative
features such as extended unlock times per individual ID
card, card usage limits, pre-alarm on door held open and
entry of individual duress codes. Alarm inputs are
individually programmable for 2-state, 3-state or 4-state
supervision. Outputs are single-pole, double throw relays
configurable for door control, enunciators or auxiliary use.
Keypad entry of system commands for functions such as
unlocking of doors, disabling inputs, system lock down, etc.

solutions for access control. Flexible systems allow
